Bob's Story
After 35 years of drug addiction and many years in prison, I finally found out what my purpose was in life. God gave me the vision in 2010, but as usual I took the long way around to get to it.
It was not until I surrendered my own will that I could see God's plan .
Just as sin is progressive, my drug addiction as well as my criminal activity were also progressive. I went from using drugs to dealing drugs. Starting out as an recreational user, I later became dependent on drugs, mentally and physically. I went from petty crimes to a life of crime. I went from carrying guns to using guns.
There were a few times in my life when I would lay off the hard drugs enough to keep a job for awhile. There were also a few times when I started my own business and become somewhat successful as the world would view it. In the long run, I would always revert back to my old ways of drug addiction and self destruction.
I have to thank God for my time in prison. It was in prison that I had time to get my body in good enough shape to be able to live through the abuse I put myself through when I was free. It was in prison when I asked the Lord to save me. It was in prison that I had time to read God's word and understand it. As you all know, God can take our worst times and make something good out of them.
God is still doing miracles today. I am one of them and you may be the next.
Straightway Ministry Inc. is for the men who want to really change their lives. God wants a better life for you. We are just a stepping stone for you to cross over your Jordan. We are a tool that is available for you to build that bridge back that you destroyed some time ago. If you are sick, Jesus is the Great Physician.
